Pearl is a 1-year old Bengal cat, and her new friend Fess is a young male Golden Chinese Pheasant.
We live next to a 70-acre forest on the Puget Sound, and Fess showed up in March 2008 on the back patio,
knocking at the window. He and Pearl have been pals ever since. These birds are not indigenous to this area,
so must have flown the coop where he was raised. He stops by every day, for breakfast and cocktail hour.
